Sam Hocevar f61816ceb7 Starting refactoring to get rid of libcucul. The initial reason for the split is rendered moot by the plugin system: when enabled, binaries do not link directly with libX11 or libGL. I hope this is a step towards more consisteny and clarity.		16 年之前

Building libcaca

   o  Run configure then make. Useful configure flags are:

     --enable-ncurses: support for the ncurses library
     --enable-slang: support for the SLang library
     --enable-conio: support for MS-DOS conio.h
     --enable-x11: support for native X11 rendering
     --enable-gl: support for OpenGL rendering
     --enable-win32: support for the Windows console
     --enable-network: support for the network server

     --disable-imlib2: remove Imlib2 support in cacaview

     --disable-doc: do not build documentation

   o  Cross-compilation examples:
 
     ./configure --disable-imlib2 --host=i386-pc-msdosdjgpp

     ./configure --disable-imlib2 --host=i586-mingw32msvc


Using libcaca

   o  Look into the src/ and test/ directories for source code examples.

   o  Compiling a libcaca program is fairly simple:

      gcc -c foobar.c -o foobar.o `pkg-config --cflags caca`
      gcc foobar.o -o foobar `pkg-config --libs caca`
